I have one H Q L U X Y bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

Somehow i saw replicas with good stitches and identical however the color was brighter than the color of real one

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅

This was incredible. I was considering buying the Neverfull GM second hand on one of the major luxury resale sites..umm, based on the information on your video, I actually identified a fake bag (the uneven stitching on the handles). Honestly, even with the over price tag, it is better to just get it at the store.

I bought two fake damier bags on Amazon two years ago because I wanted to see if I would use a large tote. The azure one came first and I could tell from across a room it was FAKE. The brown one arrived a few days later and I was so surprised at the color, the quality, and the stitching. I “authenticated” it along with you and I’m shocked at how perfect it is. I paid around $45 for each bag and I use the ebene often. I’m not sure how this happened but I have no complaints, obviously.

I recently broke one of my only thrift rules: verify before you buy. Finding designer items secondhand is not out of the realm of possibility in my area. I've found a vintage 90s YSL envelope bag for $5 before or a Bosca passport wallet for $3. So when I saw an Hermes belt, I grabbed it. I found it was modeled after the Etriviere belt, but one of the "Hermes" is missing the accent, there's no sizing, it only has one keeper, and they stamped the full horse and coachman on it which I can't find on any item ever produced. The coachman is reaching out and touching the horse and the horse's booty looks flat. So instead of releasing it back out to the wild, I'll break down the leather for small projects like watch straps or bracelets and harvest the buckle for a new belt. TL;DR: gambled on a thrift belt, got burned. Plan to harvest belt for parts rather than releasing it back out into the wild.

I have a real Hermes belt, and after 4 years of use the buckle is scratched hear and there (after dropping it a few times over the years and other wear and tear). Scratches on metal are a sign of wear not of authenticity.
